A Neon Paint Children’s Disco will be held at the River Island Hotel on this Friday, June 26th from 6-30 to 8-30pm. All primary school-children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be a free Glow Bracelet for the first 100 children in. Admission is €5 per child and adults are free.
The funds raised from this event will go directly to the Ray of Sunshine charity and will be used to build a rescue centre for abused children in Mombasa in Kenya.
These children have no state funding nor do they have charitable organisations in Kenya to aid them. Their only chance of an improved life is for volunteers to go out there and help them directly.
Volunteers from the Castleisland area will travel out at the fall of the year. However, the charity – of which the late Derek Davis was an avid patron and supporter – still needs volunteers for the January / February 2016 project phase.
