Castleisland Day Care Centre’s ninth annual fundraising cycle was held on Sunday September 6th with approximately 170 cyclists enjoying the lovely sunshine and mild conditions.
The centre management and staff were heartened by the turn out of cyclists on the day and most of all that everyone who participated enjoyed their day – according to chairperson Monica Prendiville.
There was a great mixture of young and old, beginner and the more experienced cyclists. The cycle which followed two routes finished back at the Day Care where there was a lovely atmosphere with all participants getting well deserved refreshments and food.
“Castleisland Day Care Centre would like to thank all the sponsors, cyclists, volunteer stewards and kitchen help and of course Currow Cycling Club who organised the event on behalf of the centre,” said Monica with a purposeful reminder: “We’ll be back again on the first Sunday in September next year to celebrate our 10th year of cycling.”
That will be something special.
