There is an air of deep and genuine sadness in Castleisland today as the early morning news of the passing of Eileen Horgan nee Fitzgerald begins to sink in.
My former Knocknagore and ever cheerful neighbour passed away on Tuesday after a short illness much too early at the age of 49. Eileen realised a long held dream in November 2013 when she opened her own shoe shop at Upper Main Street here in Castleisland.
With her husband Tim they traded at No 89 Upper Main Street and had been expanding their business there. May God be good to her.
The death has occurred of Eileen Horgan (née Fitzgerald) Breahig Cordal, Castleisland.
Eileen Horgan (nee Fitzgerald) Breahig Cordal, Castleisland, Co. Kerry and late of Knocknagore, Tralee Road, Castleisland, Co. Kerry, October 13th 2015. Peacefully at home following a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly beloved wife of Tim and daughter of the late Paud and Kathleen. Sadly missed by her loving husband, brother Tom, sister Lisa, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at her residence (Breahig Cordal) on Thursday evening from 4pm to 7pm followed by removal to Castleisland Parish Church. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. John’s Cemetery, Castleisland. May she Rest in Peace
