Benny Thade McCarthy officially launched his monthly rambling house on Monday night October 3rd at Fr Casey’s GAA Club in Abbeyfeale.
The night got under way with a mass at 8pm celebrated by famous, local accordionist, Fr. John Mockler.
A ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony by entertainer Big Maggie launched the winter / spring season of Benny Thade’s Rambling House programmes.
Norrie from Castleisland
There were bouquets of flowers for his longest serving supporters and among them was 93 year old Norrie Lenihian from Castleisland.
“There was a recording made on the night and that’s now on DVD. If anyone would like to order one you can contact me on 087 99 18 546,” said Benny Thade.
“A huge thank you to all our supporters. After expenses on the night €300 was left and this will be presented to West Limerick 102FM where I present a Country and Irish programme every Thursday Afternoon,” he said.
Daniel McAuliffe
The next Rambling House night is November 17th where all proceeds are going directly to Daniel McAuliffe from Duagh who is going to Calcutta in April with the Hope Foundation. Daniel needs to raise €3,000 for this trip.
Benny Thade and his followers would appreciate your company and support on Thursday, November 17th at 9pm. The Rambling House will run on the third Thursday night of every month at Fr Casey’s GAA Club in Abbeyfeale.
