According to independent.ie this morning JJ Hanrahan is set to return to Munster next season, with the province understood to have agreed a deal to re-sign him.
The 24-year-old Currow man left Munster for Northampton last year in a bid to secure more game-time in his preferred out-half position, and although he played 23 times for the Saints in his first season, an ankle injury suffered in the summer has limited him to just two appearances in this campaign.
The move will be the greatest Christmas present Munster supporters everywhere could have wished for. Many of them felt that he should never have been let go to Northampton in the first place.
