Apparently there is quite a demand for an outlet for the burgeoning population of photographers in the locality in recent times.
To that end a meeting will be held in the River Island Hotel here in Castleisland tonight, Thursday, March 23rd. 8pm.
Advance Developments
The purpose of the meeting is to form a Camera Club in Castleisland and really to advance developments in an area to which no man or woman has gone before.
This meeting is open to all photographers / budding photographers or anyone new to the area whose thing is the not so ancient art of photography.
Camera Club Activity
Camera club activity usually revolves around discussions on cameras – oddly enough – and swapping hints and tips and organising competitions and exhibitions.
Swapping and selling unwanted gear, recommending reading or viewing material – oh and taking photographs too.
Artistic Addition
Good luck to the new club and its founders and I’m sure it will be a fine and artistic addition to the locality. I’m looking forward to the first exhibition already.
After a late spring and a whole summer of activity – maybe in the autumn ?
If photography is your thing and you don’t mind mixing with your fellow human beings, drop into the River Island Hotel tonight at 8pm.
