End of West Limerick Radio Car Boot Sale
The Board of Management of West Limerick Radio would like to advise all stall holders and customers that the car boot sale has been discontinued due to its rapid decline over the past 12 months.

Castleisland Car Boot Sale
However, Car Boot Sale addicts can still have their fix of wheeling and dealing in Castleisland on the June Bank Holiday Monday from 11am to 2pm. Castleisland Rugby Club will host the event on its grounds.
Stands for traders and sellers will be charged at €10 each and buyers’ admission fee is €2 while children go in free. Traders/sellers are advised to be there between 9am and 11am depending on their setting up time and the gates will open to the in-rushing public from 11am to 2pm. Last of the Afternoon Tea Dances
The last of the tea dances for this season takes place at Fr. Casey’s Clubhouse on Sunday, May 21 with dancing to Noel Cronin. Funds raised go to Abbeyfeale Parish Community Garden.
Dog Show At Abbeyfeale Town Park
The annual Dog Show takes place at the Town Park from 2pm on Sunday, May 21. Twelve classes, twelve winners compete for best in show. €2 per class. Enjoy the new zip line, freshly painted playgrounds, river side and woodland walks. Bring all the family, maybe not the cat though.
Meet Under Fr. Casey
Abbeyfeale Tidy Towns will be meeting in the Square this Wednesday from 7pm-8pm. We are looking for new members and would welcome anyone who has an hour to spare to come and join us.
Ryan’s Daughter at The Glórach
The newly formed film club at the Glórach presents Ryan’s Daughter on Wednesday, June 7 at 7.30pm. Admission €7 inc. complimentary tea/coffee in the foyer. Bookings on 087 1383940.
Final Rambling House At Fr. Casey’s
Benny Thade McCarthy’s final Rambling House of the season will take place on Monday night June 5 at 8.30pm.
This is a fundraising night for Dromcollogher Respite Centre which was recently renovated. All singers, musicians, dancers and storytellers welcome, doors open at 8.30pm and show begins at 9pm.Please come along and show your support. For more information contact Benny on 0879918546. The Rambling House will return on the first Monday in September. Dromcollogher & District Respite/Care Centre is a purpose-built single storied centre incorporating a three-unit twenty-bed residence. It was established by huge voluntary local community effort in conjunction with various statutory bodies and many generous donors to help meet a growing need in our society at the present time. The centre provides short-term care for senior citizens within the general catchment area of Limerick and North Cork.

The new signage on the windows of the vacant Furniture Showroom in Mountmahon sends out a very positive message to everyone who enters Abbeyfeale. Well done to ACC for suggestion and to James Harnett for design and implementation.
Kileenagh Holy Well
The Rosary will be recited at the Holy Well in Kileenagh each Friday evening during Mary’s Month – May. If it’s too far for you to travel to – there is also a rosary recited every weekday evening at 7.30pm in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel all year round by the Legion of Mary and in the main Church every Saturday evening at 6.30opm before the Vigil Mass.
Funding Opportunities and Successful Applications
West Limerick Resources will host a free workshop for community groups on how to make a successful funding application and current funding opportunities open to groups on Thursday, May 18 from 7:30-9:30pm at the Desmond Complex Newcastle West. SVP Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the new St. Vincent De Paul shop in the town. The shop will be open from Monday to Saturday 10.00 – 5.00pm. The shop will have two shifts, 10am to 1.30pm and 1.30 to 5pm.

The work and time you will give to the Vincent de Paul as a volunteer in our shop will be invaluable. By this work you will be making a huge difference in the lives of so many people. Volunteering is a gift to the community.
Fr. Casey’s Ladies GAA Feile Fundraiser
Please donate your unwanted clothes and textiles to raise funds for Fr. Casey’s Girls U-14 team who have qualified for the Feile finals in Cavan in June. Any re-wearable clothes, paired shoes, belts, handbags, curtains, towels, bed linen, soft toys are accepted. Please drop off bags at the GAA complex on Sunday mornings, 10.30-11.30 am between now and the end of May.
