A Message from a Boyhood Friend

I just got an email from the UK from Neil Hickey, a contemporary on Danny’s, and his message spells out the feelings many people who knew Danny would maybe like to share:

“It is with sadness that I hear of the death of Danny ‘Snowball’ McSweeney today. I knew Danny well growing up, and had many a pint with him in Hickey’s Bar and Teddy McCarthy’s over a game of pool or maybe cards. He was a bit of a shark at both!  He didn’t have an enemy in the world, and Castleisland is poorer for his loss,” said Neil.
