Minors Defeated in NK Final

The Desmond’s Minor Boys team travelled to Knocknagoshel on Monday evening where they played Listowel Emmets in the North Kerry Division 1 League final.

In a very enjoyable game of football in front of a large crowd Desmonds were unlucky to lose on the score of 2-18 to 2-14.

The score at half time was 1-14 to 1-5 in favour of Listowel.

Great credit to the players in regard to their display in the second half and it saw them  only lost by four points on the night.

The players and management were treated to a meal in The Crown Bar, Castleisland after the game. Thanks very much to Denis Cronin and his staff on the much appreciated gesture on the night by all who attended.

Seniors Go Down to Templenoe

Our senior men’s team travelled to play Templenoe in Round 10 in the county league losing on the score of 4-19 to 0-6 on Sunday.

Next game for them is the North Kerry League Division 1 final against Ballydonoghue on Saturday September 9th in Listowel at 6:45pm.

Congrats to Desmonds / Kerry Ladies

Congratulations to the Desmonds ladies Lorraine Scanlon, Eilish Lynch, Aisling Leonard, and Labhaoise Walmsley who were involved with Kerry ladies team which defeated Armagh in the quarter final of the All Ireland last weekend.

No Luck for Luka and David

No luck last weekend for Luka Brosnan and David Shanahan who were on the Boys Kerry U-17 panel that lost to Roscommon in the All Ireland semi final.
