U-12s Win District Plate
Currow U-12 team played Ballymac on Friday, September 22nd. in Castleisland in the U-12 Castleisland District League Plate final. Ballymac lead at half time on a score of Ballymac 3-1 to Currow 0-6.

Currow managed to turn the game around, scoring 3-10 in the second half and it proved decisive as they went on to win on a score of Currow 3-16 to Ballymac 5-6.
After the game Kerry County Board Chairman, Tim Murphy presented the district plate trophy to Currow captain, Cathal Sheehan.
On Sunday,September 24th Currow travelled to Cordal for the first round of the East Kerry League. Currow proved too strong on the day for their neighbours and won on a final score of Cordal 3-13, Currow 5-16. The following week, on Saturday, September 30th Currow welcomed Gneeveguilla
The visitors proved to have the upper hand on Currow in this game with a score of Gneeveguilla 5-16 to Currow’s 5-8. Next game for Currow U-12s will be against Listry.
U-16s Drawn Against Fossa
Currow U-16 team has been drawn against Fossa in the first round of the East Kerry Championship.
There is no date yet confirmed for when this game will take place.
U14s in East Kerry Final
Our U-14 team continued its East Kerry Championship campaign on Sunday 23rd September when we played host to Glenflesk in a Division 3 semi final.
In a good sporting contest, Glenflesk had the upper hand and proved victorious on a score line of Currow 1-11, Glenflesk’s 3-14.
After this defeat we were given a second opportunity to reach the Division 3 Championship Final on Sunday. October 1st when we played Fossa away.
In an even enough contest Currow proved to have the edge on a good Fossa side and won the game with a score line of Fossa 5-8 to Currow’s 5-10.
The team has now qualified for the East Kerry Division 3 Championship Final where Glenflesk will be the opponents. The final will take place on Sunday, October 8th. Time and venue to be confirmed.
U-10s Blitz on Saturday
The Castleisland District League blitz which was due to take place on Sunday, October 1st was postponed due to the death of John Horan, Coolnageragh. The blitz will now take place on Saturday, October 7th in Knocknagoshel starting at 10:30am.
U6s and U8s Winding Down
Training will continue this coming Saturday, October 7th at 10am for U-6s and U-8s only. Saturday morning training will finish on October14th for the year.
