“A bus will be leaving Killarney on Saturday morning at 11am going to Kingsbridge Hospital in Belfast taking 12 patients who are having cataracts removed,” said Deputy Danny Healy Rae.
Six from Kerry
Six of the travelling party are from Kerry and it was organised at this end by Deputy Healy-Rae.
While the other six are from West Cork and arranged by Deputy Michael Collins.
Home by Sunday Evening
“Their procedures will be carried out Sunday morning and they will be returning home later Sunday evening and we are hopeful that all these patients will enjoy a better Christmas this year.
Another Bus in Early 2018
“Another bus is being arranged early in the New Year to take more people for cataract procedures,” said Deputy Healy Rae.
