The first ever fundraiser for the soon to be consolidated Kerry/Cork/Limerick Health Link Bus will be held in Abbeyfeale on Monday night ,February 5th from 8pm.
Variety Concert in Fr. Casey’s
A variety concert in Fr Casey’s Club-house is being organised by Benny Thade McCarthy to help in the purchase a bus to facilitate the people of North Kerry and West Limerick.
It aims to add the new routes to the well established and used Cork / Kerry links and plans for the addition are at an advanced stage.
Hospital Appointments by Bus
“People who are undergoing cancer treatment in these areas will then be able to get the bus to their hospital appointments either in Cork or Limerick,” said Mr. McCarthy – an inveterate fundraiser in the North Kerry / West Limerick areas in recent years.
“Driving can be very stressful and in some cases be a cause of worry for people who are undergoing treatment so to make people more comfortable we are trying to get the bus up and running in this area.
Talent and Entertainment
“On stage that night you will see wonderful talent and entertainment from the following people who are generously giving up their time free of charge for this worthy cause.
“The line-up includes: Mike ‘Mini Moore’ McCarthy; Just William Reidy; Eddie Carey; Frances Kennedy; Doris Shire; Chrissie Roche; Pat McCarthy; Eibhlin and Liam Broderick; Mary and Pat Bucke and Ray Lowe.
Support Appreciated
Doors open at 7.30pm and the show begins at 8pm sharp.
A raffle will also take place and all proceeds collected on the night will go to the Kerry/Cork/Limerick Health Link Bus.
