Sliabh Luachra will feature in a Nuacht RTÉ report this Saturday evening on TG4 at 7pm.
Nuacht TG4 journalist, Marian O’Flaherty from Dingle and cameraman, Eoin Daly from Cork filmed the piece – focusing on the music of the region – in Ballydesmond Credit Union yesterday.
Focus on Eoin
The piece will focus on the appointment of Eoin O’Sullivan as Sliabh Luachra’s first Musician-In-Residence.
Eoin, his father Raymond and Timmy O’Connor played a session in the Nora Herlihey Museum, upstairs in Ballydesmond Credit Union for the report.
A Big Step
The appointment of a musician in residence in Sliabh Luachra is seen as a big step in preserving the region’s rich musical heritage.
The report is scheduled to air tonight (Saturday) on the Nuacht on TG4 at 7pm.
If you miss it you’ll be able to catch up with it on the TG4 Player and on Facebook/Twitter.
