The Desmonds Senior Ladies played a very entertaining game in the Kerry LGFA Co. League at home on Tuesday evening against Beaufort losing by 4-14 to 3-13.

They played very well on the evening with five U-16s, five minors and six seniors against a strong Beaufort team.
Well done to all involved players and team mentors.
The Desmonds senior men’s team drew with Ballymacelligott 3-11 each in round seven of the Co. League last Saturday evening in front of a large crowd.
With the score at 1-6 to 1-4 at half time in favour of the home side.
The second half of the game saw both sides score two goals each and we saw Steven Bartlett score a equalizing free from 40 yards out into the breeze to draw the game well into injury time.
Next game at home to Kenmare in the county league on the weekend of the 13th/14th of July.
The men’s junior team played Moyvane on Tuesday evening in the Junior Co. League where they were victorious on the score 2-14 to 2-9
They play Churchill this Friday evening in the league at 7:30pm at home.
Congratulations Tomás
Congratulations to Tomás Lynch who won a Munster Junior Championship medal recently as part of the Kerry team that defeated Cork by 1:14 to 13pts.
He travels with the Kerry team this coming weekend as they play Scotland GAA on Saturday in Glasglow with a throw in set at 1pm.
Under Age Results and Fixtures
The U-14 Boys defeated a gallant Castlegregory in round two of the Central Region League by 5-18 to 5-9 at home on Monday evening .
Their next game is on Monday July 8th away to Glenbeigh-Cromane in round 3 of the league. Throw in at 7pm
This coming Friday the U-8 Boys travel up to Scartaglen to take part in a Go Games blitz starting at 7pm.
The U-14 Girls play Glenflesk this coming Sunday July 7th in the Kerry LGFA Division 2 B Final time and venue tbc.
Jack Rahilly Blitz
This coming Saturday July 6th the Desmonds U-12 mixed team of boys and girls take part in the Jack Rahilly Blitz in Scartaglen starting at 11am.
The U-16 Boys travel to play Churchill on Wednesday evening in the Co. League with a 7pm throw in.
Thanks to Brosna Coiste na nÓg for the U-10 boys challenge game on Tuesday evening. Thanks to all of the team mentors and especially the parents who travelled to Brosna to support the boys.
Cúl Camp on Monday
On Monday morning July 8th the Kerry GAA Cúl Camp takes place in Castleisland for boys and girls the camp starts at 10am running to 2.30pm.
Desmonds Lotto €6,200 at The Crown
The Desmonds GAA Club lotto takes place this coming Saturday July 6th in the Crown Hotel the jackpot is currently at €6,200. Tickets at €2 or 3 for €5.
