By Mairead Moriarty
Commencing at 11am from Pairc na Féile, Brosna with registration from 10am, friends, family and supporters from far and wide will put be putting their very best feet forward to remember Kerrie.
“As fitness enthusiasts, both Eamonn and I felt it was a really great way to mark Kerrie’s birthday,” explained Kerrie’s sister, Andrea Browne.
“Thankfully, it’s kept us very busy over Christmas putting this event together and we have been overwhelmed by the incredible response from the community and beyond.”
Funds Go to Charity
The funds raised from the run will be divided between the Cashel Ward in University Hospital Kerry and the Ifor Ward, Whittington Hospital, London both of which specialise in Pediatric Medicine, the area of medicine about which Kerrie was most passionate.
Rather fittingly, the run is taking place on the eve of Kerrie’s 27th birthday.
It seems very appropriate to commemorate her birthday in a way that celebrates good health and focuses on all of the values important to her – children, family, community, life and love.
