Knocknagoshel hosted pre-tournament favourites Annascaul in round 1 of the junior championship on Sunday afternoon.
Annascaul quickly signalled their intent by kicking four points in the opening seven minutes. Annascaul went on to extend their lead to nine points by half time with Cathal Ferriter finding the net for the West Kerry side.

James Crean scored a goal for Annascaul within a minute of the resumption. Goals by Michael Keane and John Bell helped reduce the deficit but points by Jack Farrell and Aidan Crean and a goal by Killian Falvey ensured the result was never in doubt.

Knocknagoshel will play Kilgarvan in Round 2 in Kilgarvan at 2.30pm on Sunday, August 2nd.
St. Kieran’s minors will play St. Brendan’s in Blennerville pitch on bank holiday Monday at 6pm in the county championship.

Knocknagoshel/Brosna/Duagh under 16s lost to Moyvane in the County League.
The Knocknagoshel/Brosna U-14s will play Castleisland Desmonds in the County League at Knocknagoshel on Wednesday 29th July at 7pm.
Knocknagoshel U-12 lost to Duagh on Sunday night and will play Listowel Emmets in Knocknagoshel on Sunday 2nd August at 6pm.
