Ballymacelligott Drama Group members are back on the boards again with their performance of Love Knots – a three-act comedy by Jimmy Keary.
After a three year break due to Covid, the group will make its long-awaited return to the Ivy Leaf stage over this weekend starting tonight, Friday, March 24th at 8pm.
This year sees the return of previous members along with some new faces to the group.
Teacher and Part-Time Farmer
The play revolves around teacher and part-time farmer, Larry Casey. Larry’s love life has been a series of disasters. Then he meets divorcee, Carmel Doherty and invites her to a GAA dance on the following Saturday night but Larry suddenly finds himself with two dates when his interfering neighbour, Vera Malone gets involved.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
The play will be performed in the Ivy Leaf Theatre, Castleisland from tonight, Friday, 24th. Saturday, 25th and Sunday, 26th March, 2023.
