Sliabh Luachra Treasures

The tapes contain recordings of Denis Murphy, Julia Clifford the Cronin brothers Johnny and Paddy, Johnny O’Leary, Jerry McCarthy and various others and, if they can be saved, they will be an historic addition to the Handed Down Sliabh Luachra Archives.
“Kathleen Fitzgerald, R.I.P with whom I first communicated in 2013, was extremely proud of her mom Bridgie Kelleher and her uncle Denis Murphy and was extremely knowledgeable about all the local musicians and recorded them in the USA and while on visits home. I also want to thank another close relative, Janey Mac for helping me with photos,” said P.J. in conclusion.
