Minister for Education and Kerry T.D, Norma Foley, has welcomed the announcement that advance payments with a total value of over €27 million to farmers in Kerry have commenced.
The payments are being made under the 2023 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complementary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).
Announcement Welcomed
Minister Foley expressed her delight and welcomed the announcement by her cabinet colleague, Minister for Agriculture, Food and The Marine, Charlie McConalogue that advance payments for Kerry farmers have commenced.
Crucial Payments
“I know just how crucial these payments are for family farm income and how important they are to businesses in Kerry, bringing a welcome boost in cash flow to the rural economy. The BISS & CRISS advance payments are commencing at a rate of 70%,” said Minister Foley.
