Castleisland Tidy Towns would like to invite all involved, in working to keep our town looking so well in the past year, to an appreciation evening in the River Island Hotel on this Friday evening November 17th. at 7:30 pm.
Light refreshments and finger food will be served, kindly sponsored by Garvey’s SuperValu. Castleisland gained five points in the National Tidy Towns competition this year due to the diligent work of volunteers, residents and business owners.
“This combined effort should be recognised and those involved in any way, thanked for their diligent work.
“Ní neart go cur le chéile , and let’s keep the good work going to keep improving the look of our town and its quality of life,” said group spokesperson, Shane McAuliffe.
2023 Adjudicator – A First Time Visitor
On the heel of one of the most genuinely complimentary reports since Castleisland’s first participation in the Tidy Towns competition in the early 1990s, the adjudicator said:
“As a first-time visitor I was impressed with the work your group has carried out and the plans for future projects.
“We thank all the numerous stakeholders and local residents involved in the works which make up this year’s submission and continued good luck for all your planned work in 2024 and beyond.
We very much enjoyed our time in your market town.”
That, in itself, is something to celebrate.
