The family of the late Mrs. Mary Murphy invited family members, friends and fundraisers to drop in to her home in Adriville to remember her with a little celebration on Sunday, September 10th last.
That’s the day on which Mary, better known as Mary O, would have celebrated her 100th birthday. It was intended that all the proceeds from the event would be donated to Kerry Parents & Friends Association in Killarney
Mary O died in July of this year and she was a tireless fundraiser through her annual Alzheimer’s Tea Day fundraisers the proceeds which went to ‘The Rosemary Centre’ in Tralee.
She would be very proud of the family’s efforts on the day as they managed to raise €4,540 over the few hours they were there.
The cheque for that amount was presented to the nominated charity recently by family member Eileen Keating.
