Open Invite to Currow National School Open Day

Currow National School will hold an open morning on Friday, December 15th. from 9.30am to 10.45am.

The school opens each morning at 8.30am to facilitate parents who need to drop off their children early.

There is also have an after-school service run by Brookview Childcare. This service operates in the school complex from 1.40pm to 6.15pm daily, where children get their homework done, have a meal and enjoy lots of activities. Brookview Childcare partake in all government schemes offering parents some great savings.

Pre-School Free Care and Education

Currow Pre-School is located on the extensive grounds and the Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme provides free care and education for pre-school children.

It is available for three hours a day, five days a week, 38 weeks of the year. Contact Catherine on 087 7742253 for more information.

Currow National School boasts large, bright classrooms, each with an interactive whiteboard. There is also a computer room, library, PE hall, two outdoor basketball courts, soccer pitch, football pitch and large tarmac play areas along with a ‘mini woodland’ play area.

The dedicated staff guide and support each student on their school journey to ensure that every child reaches their full potential while enjoying a happy, inclusive and creative learning environment.

The staff work hand in hand with parents to attain academic success, personal growth and character development in all their pupils. The pursuit of knowledge has the power to transform us! 

The board of management and parents’ association support and assist the staff and pupils all year.

Strong Affiliation with Clubs

They work closely with the local community including a strong affiliation with the GAA and basketball clubs who in turn support the school in all its sporting endeavors.

The local community centre is located beside the school and it offers access to its hall where the pupils play badminton and basketball.
