All involved with the recent Christmas Rambling House in the Scartaglen Heritage Centre enjoyed a great night’s entertainment.

“Contributors from far and wide entertained the audience with craic agus ceol gan aon ól except tae” arsa fear an tí Jerome O’Driscoll.

Visitors from the USA

“Visitors from Virginia, USA came to see and sample Irish culture and impromptu entertainment. They were unaware that we have our own language on this wonderful isle and were fascinated to hear it spoken and sung on the night,” arsa Jerome.

Size 19 Wellingtons

The highlight was the visit of Santa Claus, Kris Kindle himself, who, very generously handed out goodies to the audience. He was very nimble on his feet for a man of his age and had the crowd in bowls of laughter when he finished his visit with his own version of the brush dance – quite difficult to do when wearing size 19 wellingtons.
