Peer Support Group for Mental Health Recovery

Kerry Peer Support Network provides weekly recovery-based support groups for anyone over 18 years old with any mental health issues.

Peer support is an essential part of getting well and staying well for many people. It is a welcoming, safe, confidential and non judgemental space where in-patients feel accepted and understood.

The benefits of joining a support group includes: Seeing that you are not alone; Learning and understanding self-acceptance; Gaining a sense of empowerment; Control or hope; Improving skills to cope with challenges; Talking openly and honestly about your feelings; Feeling less lonely isolated or judged.

Groups are co-facilitated by trained Peers of Kerry Peer Support Network, Castleisland Peer Support Group every Wednesday evening between 7pm and 8pm – beginning on January 10th. 2024 upstairs at the St. Vincent de Paul building, Castleisland Family Resource Centre, Church Street, Castleisland V92 VCA3 – across from the Church.
