Seachtain na Gaeilge san Óstán River Island Dé Sathairn Seo Chugainn

Mar is gnáth beidh ócáid i gcomhair Sheachtain na Gaeige in Oileán Chiarraí Dé Sathairn seo chugainn 16-3-2024 san Óstán River Island ag tosnú ag a seacht a chlog 7 i.n.

Tá an ócáid eagraithe ag an ngrúpa ‘Cúpla focal agus cupán tae’ atá clárithe le Conradh na Gaeilge agus beidh caint, comhrá, ceol, amhránaíocht agus craic ann. Deis atá ann chun do chuid Ghaeilge a úsáid a bheag nó a mhór. Tá fáilte de gach saghas Gaeilge ann duine leis na cúpla focal nó aon chaighdeán eile.Tá fáilte romhaibh go léir. An grúpa seo ‘Cúpla focal agus cupán tae’ tá siad an

ghníomhach i láthair na huaire, tá dhá theacht le chéile acu gach seachtain, oíche Dé Máirt ciorcal cainte sa tseanleabharlann ag tosnú ar 7.30 i.n,agus ag an Déardaoin tá rang do thosnaitheoirí ar 7.00 i.n. san ionad céanna. Tá tríocha duine ag freastal ar na hócáidí seo.

Beidh ceardlanna filíochta acu mí na Bealtaine in Oileán Chiarraí agus Caisleán na Mainge. Chomh maith leis tá leabhar ‘Fílíocht na nDaoine’ foilsithe acu.

Seachtain na Gaeilge Celebrations in Castleisland

As usual there will be an event as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge in Castleisand on the coming Saturday evening in the River Island hotel starting at 7pm.

The occasion is being promoted by the Irish group ‘Cúpla focal agus Cupán Tae’ affiliated to Conradh na Gaeilge, with conversation, music, singing and craic there.

This is an opportunity for a person to practise their Irish at whatever level they have, all standards are welcome especially the ‘cúpla focal’. All are welcome.

The local group ‘Cúpla focal agus cupán tae’ is very active, they have two groups meeting once a week, on Tuesday nights they have a ‘ciorcal comhrá’ at the Old Library at 7.30pm and on Thursday evening a beginners Irish class at 7 pm at the same venue, they have 30 people attending these events. In May they have two poetry workshops in Castleisland and Castlemaine. The group has published a book of poems recently entitled ‘Filíocht na nDaoine’ – the poetry of the people.
