Staff and pupils at Muire Gan Smál National School are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the Science Foundation Ireland Curious Minds Gold Award for hands-on STEM learning carried out by all the classes in the school.
Students actively participated in a variety of areas including science investigations, robotics, engineering week, space week, and science week. They also demonstrated their application of math knowledge and skills in practical ways.

The highlight of their work was the STEM Show and Tell event, where the children presented and explained their STEM projects to all the classes.
“This award is a testament to our commitment to fostering a strong STEM culture and providing our students with engaging, real-world learning experiences,” said Conor O’Mahony on delivering the great news for the school.
