This evening last week, the usual Tuesday night traditional music session started by Linda and Pats Broderick in the Shoemaker’s Bar in the early 1980s was taken in by Jerome ‘Fagin’ Hartnett.

Since its most recent home at Kearney’s Bar closed there was a fear that the rolling session would be lost to the town so it moved up the street to its latest venue – where its host insists that he just minding it until Kearney’s Bar re-opens – on which we await developments.

The musicians will gather at Fagin’s again tonight from around 9:30pm for this week’s session and all players and singers are welcome.
