A digital exhibition of photographs I’ve taken over the years will be screened this Saturday from noon to about 1:30 pm at the Castleisland Community Museum.
In collaboration with Patrick O’Keeffe Festival founder and former RTÉ presenter Peter Browne, along with a guest appearance by Gabriel Fitzmaurice, I’ve been trawling through my files and come up with a gabháil of material. Peter has made the final choices and recommendations, and Gabriel’s part stems from Peter’s suggestion to include photographs from Best Loved Poems from the South (2016), which Gabriel edited.
Celebrity Bainisteoir in 2010
The screening includes scenes of people in the local pubs, a look back at the community bonding during Celebrity Bainisteoir in 2010, and, of course, a collection of images from the festival’s history, capturing the musicians who have enriched our lives since 1993.
There’s also a selection of sports supporters and other bits and pieces.
If you have an hour to spare tomorrow from noon on, do drop in, take a look, and maybe have a bit of banter about what you see.
