Knocknagoshel life coach, Tina Curtin asked so many questions of herself in the planning of her first book that she actually came up with its title in the course of this critical self analysis.
The book, Am I Just Codding Myself ? is a personal reflection about life’s trials and tribulations told through short stories and drawings, with a little bit of poetry thrown in for good measure.
Tina’s first and greatly anticipated launch will be held at Browne’s Bar, Lower Main Street here in Castleisland from 6pm to 8.30pm on this Saturday evening, November 23rd.
The book, complete with her unique style of drawing which crystalises what’s on her mind as much as her sharphy honest way of storytelling does, is an uphill, down valley account of life’s often huge challenges.
Doubting and Questioning Her Way
Tina recounts how she doubted and questioned her way to the starting lines of so many athletics challenges and how, with the encouragement and help from friends and colleagues and an indomitable will to get there – she got there – and that included a swim across Tralee Bay.
Copies of the book will be available to buy at the launch. Tina, who has clearly found a new niche in her life by putting all of her self doubt and how she conquered her fears of participation in print.
And the fact that she refers to this publication as her ‘first book’ clearly means that she intends to continue and she began.
€1 to Pat Murphy’s Fund
The book is priced at €15.99 and €1 from each book sold on the night goes to Pat Murphy’s fundraiser for his rehabilitation trip to America later this year.
“I have been going to Pat’s circuit training classes for more than 10 years, on and off.
Any time I would get in touch with Pat to ask if he had space, the response was always the same – “There’s always a place for you Tina.”
