Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club is thrilled to announce the outstanding success of its recent fundraising campaign.
The campaign, which was launched early last autumn and the grand finale held at the River Island Hotel last month, aimed to raise funds for the development of a new clubhouse and astro training pitch at Moanmore.
“This ambitious project reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to fostering excellence in sports and providing state-of-the-art facilities for our players, said club chairman Kevin Lynch.
County and Provincial Honours
“Over the past two years, we’ve seen record participation across our underage teams for both girls and boys, alongside remarkable achievements from our senior teams, who have secured silverware at county and provincial level. The future of Castleisland Desmonds is truly bright,” he continued.
“Our goal is to build on this success by ensuring our players have access to the best possible training and playing facilities. We believe in nurturing their talents and helping them reach their full potential—both on and off the pitch.”
Defining and Unwavering Support
This fundraiser would not have been possible without the unwavering support of both local and international businesses, the generosity of the people of Castleisland, and the surrounding parishes. We are incredibly grateful for the community spirit that defines Castleisland and makes our club so special.
A special mention must go to the dedicated team of over 40 volunteers who worked tirelessly from August 2024 to make this initiative a success.
Heartbeat of Club and Town
“Their passion and hard work embody the heartbeat of our club and town. It is through the efforts of individuals like them that great GAA clubs and communities thrive.
“On behalf of Castleisland Desmonds, thank you to everyone who contributed to this monumental achievement. Together, we are building not just facilities but a legacy for future generations.
“We would also like to extend our congratulations to the winners of our fundraiser,” said Kevin in conclusion.
