A well attended introduction night for the Presentation Castleisland 2025 Film Awards on Monday night informed the attendees of what lies ahead of them should they decide to get involved in this year’s project.
Those who participated in the 2023 ‘Night at the OsKaRs’ assured first timers at the intro night that it as all fun and enjoyment with pure professionalism and role guidance from the director, camera and sound crews and colleagues.
Film company founder Kevin Rowe presented a film show of clips of silver screen classics his company had done in clubs and locations throughout the country – and a couple of the Castleisland 2023 clips were featured.
In Front of Cameras
Those who intend to step in front of the cameras signed up to be informed of all future plans regarding activities for the months ahead and the grand finale at the Great Southern Hotel in April.
The 2025 project casting night for the Presentation Castleisland 2025 Film Awards is Thursday, January 23rd from 6.30pm in the school.
All registered participants will be given a time slot to come in and say a few lines from a script in the room. No preparation needed, just turn up.
After that it’s hell for leather with scripts and rehearsals and WhatsApp messages over the following couple of months.
Then it all slides rapidly into the scene filming days in various locations around Castleisland and the hinterland and the takes and retakes and the waiting around and chatting and the calls for action and the wait for the film rushes.
