Dermot ‘Weeshie’ Lynch, Munster GAA PRO presenting Killian Dennehy with the Kerry Minor Footballer of the Year award at the 2024 Munster GAA award winners at the presentation ceremony which was held on Saturday, December 14th at the Fota Island Resort.

His school St. Patrick’s Secondary, Castleisland joined in the chorus of congratulations for student Killian Dennehy after he received the prestigious Kerry Minor Footballer of the Year Award at the Munster GAA presentation ceremony at the Fota Island Resort before Christmas.

“Killian played a pivot role in Kerry claiming another Munster title in 2024 and was a core part of the minor team in the championship until he was ruled out with injury in the All-Ireland semi final against Derry,” said a statement from St. Pats.

Leadership and Skill

“He showed great leadership and skill throughout the Munster campaign dominating midfield while contributing significantly to both defensive and offensive plays.

“He carried this high level of performance into the Corn Uí Mhuirí competition for the school with outstanding performances throughout the campaign.

‘This is a great honor for the school to have a student who has been recognized at provincial level in football and a source of inspiration for all students in the school,” the statement concluded.
