Castleisland Active Retirement Group Back in Action and Recruiting New Members

Peter (inset) is inviting more of the active retired people in the district to join them at their weekly, Thursday social gatherings at St. Brigid’s Hall from 2:30 to 4:30pm.

A Castleisland Active Retirement Group recruitment note and a reminder that its activities have resumed for the new year.

“Perhaps you could give us a little mention to encourage a few more people to join us. The Castleisland Active Retirement Group is back meeting every Thursday enjoying some exercises, Quizzes, Bingo, Singing and the ever welcome cup of tea with cake or brack and plenty of chat,” said group secretary Peter Howarth.

Days Out and Mini Holidays

“We also enjoy days out and mini holidays, theatre trips, dining out and afternoon dancing.We meet every Thursday from 2.30 – 4.30 in St. Bridget’s Hall, behind the Church, and new members will be made most welcome,” said Peter.
