
Castleisland Community College celebrated Entrepreneurial Success at the recent Kerry Enterprise Awards.
First year student Jack O’Sullivan won first place in the Junior Category while second year students Pádraig Murphy and Adam Sinnott won first place in the Intermediate Category. These students will now represent Kerry in the National Student Enterprise Awards which will take place in Mullingar in May.
Áine Culloty, Business and Accounting teacher won Educator of the Year Award. This award recognises dedication to fostering enterprise and innovation among students.
Hoist for Calves and Lambs
Junior Category Winner, Jack O’Sullivan developed a hoist for calves and lambs and named it- Helpful Hoist.
Intermediate Category winners, Padraig Murphy Adam Sinnott designed an innovative wooden keyring with sensory stickers under their trade-name We Make Ecosense.
Secondary school students from Kerry showcased their creativity, innovation, and business skills at the Kerry County Council annual Student Enterprise Awards at MTU Tralee.
Invaluable Opportunity for Students
“The event provided an invaluable opportunity for students to develop their business ideas, leadership skills, and teamwork, reflecting the school’s and Kerry ETB’s commitment to innovation and career-focused education,” said Castleisland Community College acting principal, Mairéad Corridan.
