
An Ríocht Athletics Club had 12 nominees at this year’s Kerry Athletics County Awards. This is the highest number of award nominations for any club in the county.

These awards acknowledge an incredibly successful 2024 season for the club, celebrating not only individual talent but also the dedication and determination of each athlete throughout the year.
Tim Long, Chairperson of An Ríocht, says the nominations of these wonderful athletes is a testament to the club and its dedicated coaches who willingly volunteer their time to help local athletes achieve their potential.
Dedication, Resilience and Sportsmanship
“Everyone at Ríocht AC is incredibly proud of our athletes and their achievements. Their dedication, resilience and sportsmanship not only bring honor to themselves but also to the club as a whole,” he says.
The Kerry Athletics County Awards took place on Friday night, March 21st. in the Killarney Heights Hotel.
Award Winners
The club’s award winners are as follows: Shona Heaslip, Senior Women Road; Oisín Murray, Senior Men Cross Country; Kevin Griffin, Masters Cross Country; Ger Cremin – International Award; Liam Rohan, Special Merit Award and Ciaran Brosnan, Special Merit Award.
