Milltown / Castlemaine GAA Club Lotto at €6,800 for Friday Night’s Draw
Tickets for our next Lotto Jackpot for €6,800 in Larkin’s Bar -on Friday April 8th, are on sale in the usual outlets and from our regular ticket sellers.
Just €2 a ticket or 3 for €5 can win you the lotto jackpot or a share in it. One can also avail of a yearly ticket for just €50 or 3 yearly tickets for €100.
You will also be in with a chance of winning one of the SIX consolation prizes of 2 x €50 or 4 x €25.

Senior County League
Milltown Castlemaine took on John Mitchel’s on Saturday evening last in Paddy Burke Park, Milltown, in the Division 1- Round 2 of the County League. Final score was 0-16 to 3-4. Both teams were very sporting and the referee Tadhg Ahern did an excellent job.
Well done to all the panel and to the manager, Mike Hickey and his selectors Timmie Teahan and Mike Carroll. Next up in Round 3 Milltown / Castlemaine are home to Dingle on April 10th with a 2pm start.
Lee Strand Promotion
We ask that club members and supporters would collect the Lee Strand tokens. Just 15 tokens can be redeemed per O’ Neill’s Football- valued at €50. Hand in tokens to any executive member- your support will be very much appreciated.
Sympathy
The club extends its sympathy to the Flahive Family, Castlemaine on the death of their mother Teresa. Affectionately known as Tess, she was the mother of Eileen Daly – former principal of Ballyfinnane Primary School, and mother in law of John Fintan Daly, who was the manager of our senior team that won the All Ireland in 2012. May Tess enjoy everlasting peace and happiness in heaven.
Milltown / Listry Senior Ladies
Congratulations to the Milltown /Listry Senior Ladies who had their third consecutive win in the County League today, with a comprehensive win over Clounmacon. Well done to their management team of Jerome Flynn and Jeremiah Hayes, from our senior panel, for their hard work and dedication.
Training
Training For U-6 /U-8 is starting next Thursday April 7 th- 6.15 to 7.15 sharp. Don’t forget your gum shield!
U-10 training continues on this Tuesday at 6 in Milltown Castlemaine Gaa pitch. Please bring your gum shield and €2.
U-12s Lee Strand County League Div. 4 A and B U-12:
Both our U-12 teams played very well on Sunday evening to record two wins away to Dingle. Well done to everyone involved and thanks to all the parents who drove on a fabulous sunny evening in Dingle. They are at home to Scartaglin on April 10th. at 6pm. Come along and support the boys and girls and their management team.
U-16s
A fantastic result for the U-16 team this week-with a comprehensive win over Na Gaeil, Tralee. Final score 2-11 to 0-8. Well done to David Heasman and his mentors and the Under 16 panel. We would like to wish David Leane a speedy recovery from his recent injury. Our game for these boys are at home An Ghaeltacht on Monday, April 11th. with a 7pm start.
Appointment of New Manager
Congratulations to our former player and clubman-William Harmon, who has been appointed as the new manager of the South Kerry Senior Football Team. He replaces John Sugrue, who guided the side to ‘Garvey’s SuperValu County Senior Football Championship success, in 2015. Best wishes William from Milltown Castlemaine GAA Club.
Hogan Cup
Congratulations to Gary McGrath, his management team and the St Brendan’s team, on winning the Hogan Cup in Croke Park on Saturday last. What a wonderful achievement!
Kerry U-16 Girls
Congrats to Ciara Murphy from our club and her Kerry U16 team mates on their victory over Cork last weekend.

UCD C Senior Ladies
Best of luck to Klara O’ Sullivan, Milltown Listry and Meadhbh Johnston of Laune Rangers who will line out with UCD ladies, on Thursday next, in their All Ireland Final encounter against the Garda Training College- Templemore.
Defibrillator
Our club defibrillator has now been relocated to outside the doors of the clubrooms and is available to the community. As we are all aware, access to a defibrillator can save some one’s life.
Our club is compiling a list of qualified individuals who are competent in using a defibrillator. You never know that perhaps your own life or the life of your son/daughter/ mother / father/ brother/sister/granny or grandad may be saved some day by someone on this list.
