Outstanding Performances in Scór Na bPáistí Finals
Foilmore GAA Centre hosted the finals of Scór na bPaistí recently to a full attendance who enjoyed the cream of talent from all over Kerry.
With only one adjudicator for each of the nine categories, many decisions were difficult to make. The standard was very high throughout.
Everyone that reached the final was a winner. Ballymacelligott can be very proud of an outstanding performance from the following girls in the Rince Foirne category: Alice Brosnan, Emma Daly, Laura Kelly, Abby Leahy, Ella Quirke, Ella and Maggie Scanlon and Ri-Ann Zhang. Well done to all.
Seniors Play St. Senan’s on Saturday

The first championship game will be against Fossa and is fixed for Sunday, April 15th. at 2.30pm at home.
Minors on a Roll Ballymac 1-10 Fossa 0-9
Following our midweek victory over Mitchels ,we were in a confident frame of mind for this County League fixture at home to Fossa.
Full credit must go to all our players who endured some very robust challenges throughout this game.
Kerry minor captain David Clifford was well marshalled by Eoin o Malley and Eddie Rodgers in turn, and its testament to our hard working defence that our opponents were kept scoreless for most of the second half and had hardly any goal chance in the entire game.

Ballymac’s U-16 team were away to St. Pat’s on Monday, March 27th in the Central District competition.
This was definitely a game of two halves with the home side in control in the first and Ballymac dominating the second.
There was the minimum of margins at the final whistle with Ballymac losing out by a point on a score line of 3-11 to 3-10.
St. Pat’s started the game at a great pace and scored a goal in the first few minutes. They kept it up for the first half and had Ballymac on the back foot for the whole half.
The score at half time was St Pat’s 2-07 to Ballymac 0-03. Ballymac scores came from: Dara Broderick, Dylan Dunne Moriarty and Jonathan Lowe.
The half time talk by Ballymac’s management team certainly paid dividends in the second half. They came out firing on all cylinders and carried the game to the home side. Ballymac scored 1-4 without reply from the home side.
These scores came from: Brian Cassidy, Jack Tobin, Adam Joy and Sean Horan. St Pat’s responded with two more points but Ballymac’s never say die attitude kept them in the game right up to the final whistle.
Further scores from: Darragh Leen, Dylan Dunne Moriarty, Adam Joy And Dara Lynch left the final score at St.Pats 3-11 Ballymac 3-10.
Ballymacelligott team: Eoin Kenny, Ciaran Brosnan, Cian Godley, Diarmuid Lynch, Jonathan Lowe, Liam O Brien, Aiden O Brien, Brian Cassidy, Dylan Dunne Moriarty, Jack Tobin, Dara Broderick, Darragh Leen, Dylan McHugh, Dara Lynch, Adam Joy, Sean Horan, Ryan McHugh

This week was a busy one for both our U-14 teams. The B team played their second game in the Tralee Town league against St. Pats Blennerville on Monday night gone.
A great performance on the night led to them winning the game 3-8 to 1-5. They played their first round of the county league on Wednesday evening in Ballymac against Dr. Crokes.
The players deserve massive credit for overturning a deficit of 10 points at half time to draw the game 3-15 to 5-9 in what turned out to be a massively competitive match.
In the end, neither team deserved to lose. This week also saw our U-14A team kicking off their division one campaign with a good result over Dr. Crokes on Wednesday night.
We raced into a 1-03 lead before Dr. Crokes registered their first score. Our goal coming from Sean Horan.
However, credit goes to the Crokes for getting back into the game, and they lead after twenty minutes of the first half on a score line of 1-4 to 1-3.
With Donal Daly on fire at full forward and with great effort put in by Adam Joy, Sean Horan and Adam Kelly we scored 1-5 without reply to lead 2-8 to 1-4 at half time.
The second goal coming from Adam Sheehy.
We continued to push forward with some lovely passages of play in the second half, our defenders Luke O’ Connell, James Bailey and Andy Rogers were dominating in defense.
We outscored Crokes 3-4 to 2-4 in the second period, two goals coming from Denis Brosnan who can be proud of his performance.
Others to impress were: Ryan McHugh, Darragh Sweeney, Dylan Barry O’Connell and Byran Godley.
Great credit to the players for the effort put into training in the last couple of weeks and the result was proof of that on the night. Thanks to all the parents for their support and thanks to Dr. Crokes for being a wonderful sporting team. Best of luck to them in the rest of the campaign.

On a lovely evening for football our U-12 Blue team played a very entertaining game against Milltown/Castlemaine. Unfortunately, we were beaten on the evening by three points on a score line of 4-13 to 3-13. However a lot of good football was played by our lads and they just came up short against a good Milltown/Castlemaine team.
