The death has occurred of Fr. James (Jim ) Downey, Cragg, Castleisland, Co. Kerry, May 23rd 2017.
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of the management and staff of Fatima Nursing Home, Tralee.
Predeceased by his sisters Kitty Downey and Mary Prendiville, Castleisland and Breda Prendiville, Brosna.
Sadly missed by his loving brother Timmy, Castleisland; sister Norrie O’Connor, Knocknagoshel; nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and friends, along with Bishop Ray Browne, fellow priests of the diocese and parishioners of the many parishes in which he previously ministered.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Tangney’s Funeral Home, Castleisland, on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm, followed by removal to Castleisland Parish Church. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am. Burial afterwards in the church grounds.
