Cordal Coiste Na Og Football Blitz and Sports was held at Castleisland Rugby Grounds on Sunday, July 1st. U-6, U-8 and U-10 football matches were held against Scartaglin.
“We then moved to the An Riocht AC track where the sports and novelty events were held. The fine weather added to the enjoyment of the day. Thanks to the parents and players and mentors from Cordal and Scartaglen who came along and make the day as fun and enjoyable as it was,” said organising group member, Danny Kelliher.
“Thanks to Castleisland Rugby Club and to its chairman Dan Casey for their hospitality as the re-development of our own football ground continues. Also thanks to all the hard-working club members who worked so hard on the day setting up and running the events,” said Mr. Kelliher.
