Space.com Wants Your Blue Moon Photos from Tonight

Local photographers and moon watchers should take note as the last Blue Moon of 2018 is just about to rise.

If you miss it, according to Space.com, you’ll have to wait until 2020 for the next one.

Second Blue Moon of 2018

Tonight’s Blue Moon — the name given to the second full moon to occur in a single calendar month will be the second such occurrence of the year; the first was on January 31st. when we experienced the Super Blue Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse.

If you’re a Blue Moon fan, make sure to get an eyeful tonight as the next one won’t come until Halloween night in 2020 – according to the site.
