Castleisland Race Committee has been forced to put back its June Bank Holiday meeting to Sunday June 10th.
“This follows the changed Kerry v Clare Munster Senior Football Semi-final which is now being played on the bank holiday weekend,” said PRO,Pat Hartnett by way of explanation.
Humphrey Murphy Road Race on June 8th
The Humphrey Murphy Memorial 5K and 10K Fun Run and Road Race will go ahead on Friday, June 8th. starting on Limerick Road at 7 pm.
Powell’s Road on June 10th.
A ten race card is scheduled for Powell’s Road on Sunday, June 10th.
This year’s fringe festival will include a family fun sports day featuring a fun filled day from U-6 to U-16 boys and girls beginning at 12 noon.
Season’s First Meeting
Music at the races will be provided by Timmy O’Connor and the first race is scheduled for 1pm.
A huge crowd is expected as it’s the first races of the season.
On the following Sunday, June 18th we will have a drive in bingo session due to popular demand There will be much more details on the races and regular updates as the time approaches.
