Tonight is Culture Night across the country and over 50 free events will be held around Kerry as part of the annual, national celebration of culture.
In Scartaglin 8pm to 9pm
With guest presenter, Matt Cranitch, musicians and performers from the Sliabh Luachra area, the launch of the fifth series of the Handed Down lectures and performances will coincide with Culture Night and will be held at the Scartaglin Heritage Centre tonight from 8pm to 9pm.
In Castleisland 8pm to 9pm
At Browne’s Bar a discussion will be opened on the temporary art installation at Upper Main Street on the corner of the junction to An Riocht Athletic Club and opposite College Road.
View the installation and join the artist Marjorie Cunningham for a discussion on the inspiration behind the piece and its relevance to the townscapes today.
The event, a Creative Ireland Kerry project, is supported by Castleisland Chamber Alliance and Browne’s Bar.
