A reminder from PJ Teahan that World Fiddle Day celebrations are only 12 weeks away and the second last Handed Down of the fifth series will examine the influences and career of Cork fiddle player, Matt Cranitch.
Special guests have been invited and rare archive material will be heard and shown on the night.
Famous for his love of Sliabh Luachra music, the audience are in for a few surprises on Saturday night, March 9th.
Special guests include: Jackie Daly, Caoimhe and Eimhear Flannery, the O’Sullivan family,
and singer, Moss Hanrahan.
Young musicians: Callum Cronin, Eve O’Driscoll, Collette Hartnett, Charlotte Murphy and Clodagh Roche all from Newmarket parish
Bríd and Seàn Fitzgerald from Castleisland and Saoirse O’Hanlon from Burnfort, Mallow.
The night will get underway at 8pm sharp and patrons are asked to be seated by 7:55pm.
