A single, kind hearted addition to an already successful, annual event gave it the social outing status it deserved and maybe needed.

Castleisland Hospice Foundation’s annual Good Friday morning walk was founded away back in 1999 and it was a success from then.

Now it has the addition of Nana Bea’s Cafe providing post walk tea and scones for those who walk and contribute to the cause which touches so many lives these days.

In response to the event, spokesperson Liz Galwey thanked everyone on behalf of the Kerry Hospice Foundation.

“The Castleisland fundraising branch would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Good Friday Walk and €2,845.00 was raised on the day,” said Liz.

This was the second year in which the Library Yard and Nana Bea’s Cafe was a factor. It was so appreciated after last year’s walk on a cold morning – but equally so this year as a celebration of the early summer conditions which prevailed.
