People in the Castleisland area are being invited to the local library on this Saturday morning, January 25th from 10am to 12 noon to explore the ‘Kerry Library Toys and Sensory Resources Collection.’
Children With Complex Needs
The events of the morning will be co-ordinated by Lorraine O’Hanlon of Anam Saor Play Therapy. The Kerry Library Toys and Sensory Resources Collection Provides a service for children with complex needs and their families.
The collection has over 400 toys available to loan including sensory and tactile toys, toys which build on fine and gross motor skills as well as educational and learning games.
Drop in on Saturday Morning
“Drop into the library on Saturday morning to meet Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, Lorraine O’Hanlon and explore the collection of toys and resources that Kerry Library has to offer.
Lorraine will also be explaining the benefits of a play routine and how to build one with your child,” said a spokesperson for Kerry Library.
The event is sponsored by the library and by the Dormant Account Fund.
