It has all to do with this month’s Valentine’s Day celebrations and the chosen couple must not be camera shy as programme reporter, Maria Mularkey explained in an email at the weekend.
“We’re looking for a couple celebrating their 50th or 60th wedding anniversary this year – or even higher than 60 years for a programme we’re broadcasting on February 14th. We’re looking for a couple who wouldn’t be camera shy and who would allow us to film in their home and also film them out and about in their town or village.”
“Myself and a cameraman would be with them for the day. I would interview both people about how they’ve made their marriage work for all these years. It’ll be a nice human interest piece. And if there were a couple of children/grand-children/great grandchildren around on the day of filming that would be good too.
I would need to film it no later than the 10th of February, so that I could edit it for the 14th,” said Maria.
