An apt reminder from an old headstone heralds the return of the local graveyard Masses in the Castleisland parish area for 2023:
“Remember friend as you pass by, As you are now so once was I, As I am now so you shall be, Kneel down and say a prayer for me.”
Graveyard Masses Schedule for 2023 at 8pm
On this Friday evening 23-6-2023 at Kilbannivane, Pembroke field. On Tuesday evening 27-6-2023 Presentation Sisters Cemetery and the priest buried in the three church grounds. This Mass will be at 7pm in Castleisland Parish Church.
On Friday 30-6-2023 in Kilmurry Graveyard. On Tuesday evening 4-7-2023 in Kilnananima Graveyard. On Friday 7-7-2023 in Tobar na bhFionn. On Friday evening 14-7-2023 in Old Kilbannivane. On Friday evening 21-7-2023 in Scartaglen Graveyard. On Friday 28-7-2023 in St. Stephen’s Graveyard. On Friday 4-8-2023 in St John’s Graveyard.
Thanks to the various graveyard committees for their co-operation and families with loved ones are encouraged to tidy their graves where possible.
