Kerry Education and Training Board is supporting a gardening course to be held at the Castleisland Community Garden. The course will start on the coming Monday, February 24th at 10.30 am. There will be eight classes of two- hours each to be held forthnightly.
The course will teach participants how to plan their garden, sow seeds in modules or directly, different methods of controlling weeds and pests, making your own compost, and harvesting, using or storing vegetables. Organic methods will be used and the focus will be on learning to grow most of a household’s vegetables in an efficient way even in a small area.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come basis. To book your place or for enquiries ring Willie Reidy on 087-9619351
